Dollar General’s clearance event kicks off this Friday, February 27th and runs through Sunday, March 1st. I want to make sure you’re ready for it.

If you’re not familiar, Dollar General runs clearance events a few times a year where all clearance items get an additional 50% off the sticker price. That means items already marked down 25%, 50%, even 70% off get cut in half again.

This is the first clearance event of 2026 and stores have been sitting on post-holiday inventory, toys, and discontinued products for months now. The shelves are loaded. Here’s how to make the most of it.
