Free BOLO Friday

Starting today, I’m launching a new weekly series: Free BOLO Fridays for all subscribers.

Every Friday, I’ll be dropping discontinued products that are still out there in old hardware stores, pharmacies, and grocery stores across the country. Those older products that have been sitting on dusty shelves for months or even years, waiting for someone who knows what they’re looking at.

If you stumble across any of these during your sourcing runs, you won’t want to pass them up!

THIS WEEK’S BOLO: Woolite At-Home Dry Cleaner (Fresh Scent)

This specific version of Woolite’s at-home dry cleaning product has been discontinued for quite some time but as you can see, there’s still strong demand for it.

I found this at an old, local True Value hardware store for $13.99 and now it’s selling around $45 on eBay.

But it gets better. My good friend and BOLO Insider member, Greg P, found 3 last month at his local hardware store and sold them for over $70 each on Amazon!

Where to find it: Old hardware stores are your best bet - places like True Value, Ace Hardware, Do It Best, and independent mom & pop hardware shops. These stores often have cleaning products sitting in their inventory for years. Check the household cleaning section, sometimes tucked away on bottom shelves or in less-trafficked aisles.

Also worth checking:

• Local pharmacies (especially family-owned)

• Small-town grocery stores

• Older drug store chains

The key is looking in stores that don’t turn over inventory quickly. Big box retailers cleared these out long ago, but those small mom & pop shops still might have old stock collecting dust.
